Preparing for installation

It is highly advised to review this documentation before setting out to install the IEC on site. Some preparations are required for a technician to be able to perform the IEC installation and its configuration on site.

Compile a list of materials required for the installation. Including, but not limited to, the following:

• IEC hardware
• power supply
• GSM module and antenna
• 1-wire sensors
• Opto eye cable
• resistors (shunt)
• cabling and other materials

If the configuration of the IEC hardware is going to be performed on-site, then a laptop is required with the following:

• an up to date or LTS version of a major GNU/Linux distribution OS or
• Windows 10 or 11 OS
• a free USB port
• NODA Installation Utility v16 or newer
• USB drivers for the configuration cable TTL-232R-3V3
• the TTL-232R-3V3 configuration cable

Other recommended equipment:

• a multimeter
• a screwdriver set
• a permanent marker (blue)
• a permanent marker (red)
